"A new addition!!!"

We have some fantastic news!!!! Any of you who know Steve and I know that Magek Photography is just the two of us (wish I could play music along with the blog...LOL!) Our kids help out some, but so far photography hasn't shown to be their passion. So far, my two oldest have a great eye for it, but just don't seem to be passionate about it...yet??? Anyway, Magek Photography is growing so rapidly that Steve and I find that we don't really have time do much more than take pictures, edit pictures, and then take more pictures. We haven't had the time to be as creative as we would like. And then Kim fell out of the sky. Kim has been taking pictures for a portrait company for a while, but wants to expand her knowledge and is very interested in the wedding business. So, Kim is going to help us with editing so we can do more of the things we love (taking pictures and being creative) while she learns. This is a win-win situation. So if you see someone with us at your wedding or portrait session, I am sure it will be Kim. We have already explained to her that we have the best couples in Texas, so please help us welcome her to Magek Photography!!!

"Fantastic Year!!!"

This year has been an absolutely amazing year! Special thanks to all of the bride and grooms that we have worked with over the past year. We have been a part of some amazing weddings!!!! Having an excellent photographer is important, but a relationship between the couple and the photographer is one of the most important dynamics that lead to phenomenal images. This year, Steve and I have grown in our photography because of the great relationships we have created! Our pictures are definitely a testimony to that growth. Photography can't be a job, it has to be a passion, and you have to be willing to think outside the box to capture amazing images. Thanks to all of those who have been on this exciting road with us!!! I can't wait to see what next year will bring:)

"Studio:)"

We are so excited and proud to announce that we just opened our new studio!!! Our studio is located in Dickinson, Texas. We could not have asked for a better layout for the studio. It has a meeting room for customers to come in and meet us and look over our albums and other pictures; it has a viewing room so after each session, you can view your images on a huge screen- they look larger than life- WOW!!! It also has a changing room for our brides and other customers to change clothes. The back of the studio is the actual "studio" where we can take pictures. There is a loft as well, so we can be very creative with angles, as well as have work space. We are loving it and so are all of our customers!!! The challenge has been decorating the studio. It is a pretty sad state when a photography studio doesn't have pictures on the wall:( We have some awesome pictures to hang, but haven't had the time because customers always come first. Making sure the customer has pictures to hang on the wall is more important than us having them on the wall. This next week, we will be hanging pictures. Give us a call to set up an appointment to come in and see our new studio.
