A good way to see if you get along with a photographer before you hire him or her for your wedding day is to do an engagement session with them. This way you can see if you get along well and wont have to sign a contract for the wedding until you decide if you like the engagement photos.

If you think about your wedding day, you must hang out with the photographer/video crew for the entire day. If you do not feel you will get along with the photographer/video crew you should not hire them. If you feel they will not be professional and say..."yes" to you all day at your wedding, you should not hire them. If you feel they will not be pleasant to your guests, you should not hire them. If you find that the vendor takes longer then 1 day to reply to your email, you should not hire them. Of course you should love their style of work, but as you can see, there is much more that goes into hiring a photography/video crew for your wedding day.
