"My Mom"
I was cleaning my basement a couple of weeks ago and found a sealed box of pictures that had belonged to my mom before she died. Her engagement picture was in there. She was so young and lovely. It was taken by a photographer in Columbia, Tennessee toward the end of the great depression. Money was really tight in those days, and I was surprised that my grandparents had splurged to have it taken professionally. I'm glad they did. best regards - Phil Huckaba, Toledo Wedding Photography
"Your uncle Harry"
Weddings are really expensive, and it's tempting to save a little money by having someone you know take your wedding pictures. That's a bad idea and here's why: Your guests will forget what the flowers looked like, what they ate at the reception and the flavor of the cake, but your wedding pictures will be passed down for generations. It's nice to have a good camera, but it's the eye behind the camera that makes the difference. It's knowing the special moments to look for, the right angles for the shot, the lighting, the editing. Your uncle Harry may have a nice camera, but don't let him take your wedding pictures. Find a pro. best regards, Phil from Toledo Wedding Photography
"Take Your Time"
One of the most certain wedding wreckers out there is not budgeting enough time. Emotions are usually running high anyway on wedding day, but mix in a dollop of extra stress rushing from the salon to the church, rushing through the pictures, rushing to the reception... Budget in some extra time and enjoy your day.
