""Exposed” by Claire Lewis"
I have so much fun reading Claire’s new book (Exposed - Confessions of a Wedding Photographer) lately. In her book, Claire tells readers all kinds of ‘unexpected’ situations she encountered during the wedding, and I can easily identify with what she said because of her perspective. It can show people why wedding photographer is not an easy job to take, and for all the bride-to-be, it is a good reading since you will gain more insight about how all sorts of ‘unexpected’ things can happen - be prepared!
"Skin care at almost no cost"

To prepare for the Big Day, it's very common for all brides-to-be to spend hundreds on skin care products. But do you know you can save yourself some hard-earned money by re-using materials that cost you almost nothing?
Trick #1: Olive oil mixed with sugar
Instead of spend hundreds on acme treatment product, try to use olive oil mixed with sugar to rub against your face for acme treatment. Not only it's all natural, olive oil from the mixture can help moist your skin as well.
Trick #2: Water from cleaning rice before steaming
Rice has to go through sanding and whitening before packaged for sale, so the water left-over from washing the rice can be used as whitener for your skin.
Trick #3: Coffee powder left-over
After enjoying your cup of coffee in the morning, don't throw away the coffee powder left in the filter. Instead, pour the powder into a cheese clothes bag and throw it into the water whenever you take bath. The coffee powder can help to smoothen your body. To enhance the effect, add a few drop of essential oil to the bath.
"Magazine Recommendation"
Lately, I've notice that a lot more wedding related magazines appeared on market than it was three years ago. This causes me to spend more time (and $$$) to choose and pick some of the newer one to study. Among these magazines, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style gets me hooked.
One feature that really makes it stand out among others is the wedding coverage. Each issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style covers several wedding stories, and each story comes with lots of details - from how the couple met, what was the wedding planning all the way to the execution (and obstacles) and aftermath. Furthermore, it covers a board range of subjects within the story - photography, planning, bakery, decoration, ceremony, catering - you name it.
Unlike The Knot, Elegant Bride, Modern Bride, etc. it only gets publish twice per year so it's not that easy to find. If I were the bride-to-be, I would reserve my copy via bookstores like Borders. For just $9.95 per issue, I think it's a great buy for 'brides-to-be'.
