"Your Humor and Words of Encouragement Put Us At Ease"
Dear Pastor Tom,
We just wanted to write you and say thanks so much for being a part of our special day. Weddings are often stressful but your humor and your words of encouragement put us at ease. Johnny will forever be reminded to use not one, but two coupons :) Thanks again and may God Bless You!

"BEST VOW RENEWAL CEREMONY"
HI PASTOR AND FIRST LADY,
Just wanted to thank you so so much for the great day last Sunday, Oct.3rd. We truly had a lot of unexpected fun. We had anticipated to just go there and get married by you but instead we got a tour of some of the most beautiful places of Calistoga. We had never been there so for you to direct us was a real blessing and treat. My entire family and myself were blown away by the grapevines, views, and definitely the coolest castle. This whole experience truly has renewed and rejuvenated my marriage. We feel new and fresh in our relationship all over again.
WE ARE TRUELY GRATEFUL AND CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH. GOD BLESS
ANOUSONH AND AMELIA
"Presidential Service"
I just wanted to let you know that this weekend we officiated the wedding of the Personal Secret Service Agent attached to the Vice President of the United States. It was a small private affair atop or mountain over looking the Napa Valley.
They chose us after careful consideration through WEDPLAN.
Thanks WEDPLAN !
You truly provide a "Presidential Service"
Hello, Pastor Tom:
Well that's about the coolest thing we've ever heard! Congrats and thanks for the feedback!
Faithfully yours,
The WedPlan Team
"Your Professionalism and Great Spirits"

"He Has Connections!"
Pastor Tom has connections. While we were standing in the pouring rain waiting for David and limo to bring Tracy, Pastor Tom prayed for a break in rain for the ceremony. Just before the limo pulled up the rain stopped! They had a beautiful, moving ceremony.

"We're Glad We Chose You"
It's always good to get recommendations for things you want in life especially something as important as this. We could not have been happier with our choice of Pastor Tom to officiate our wedding. He understood what was needed and was able to give direction through confusion and did it with a sense of humor that it put everyone at ease as well as in laughter. We could tell that we were in a very serious situation and he made us feel good about our decision to get married and to choose him to perform the ceremony. His beautiful wife was such a pleasure and a help in making sure things were as we wanted them to be. What a team! They are two people from your wedding that your guest probably won't forget due to their warmth, professionalism, and fun. You will always be made to feel that you are at the center of attention, yet people will feel that your choosing of Pastor Tom was like someone you found in Hollywood to do a movie wedding. Everyone who talks to us about our wedding mentions Pastor Tom and his wife as making it a memorable occasion.

"Truly Perfect"

"Counseling for Men"
Ok guys, it's our turn. How often has every man since ADAM struggled to understand women? This is what I tell new grooms. Communicate with your bride. This should help!
10 Words women use:
(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are
right and you need to shut up!
(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five
minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes
to watch the game before helping around the house.
(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and
you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually
end in Fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It !
(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often
misunderstood by us men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and
wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you
about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing)
(6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women
can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard
before deciding how much and when you will pay for your mistake. RUN !
(7) Thanks: She is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're
welcome and walk slowly away. (I want to add in a clause here - This is
true, unless she says, "Thanks a lot" - that is PURE sarcasm and she is
not thanking you at all. (DO NOT say, "you're welcome" ... that will
bring on a "whatever").
(8) Whatever: This is her way of telling you that you have made a mistake.
(9) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning
this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is
now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking, "What's
wrong?" For the woman's response refer to # 3.
(10) You said: This is when a woman comes out with a transcript of every
word and comment you’ve ever made. She never forgets! – Run!
"Counseling 101"
The latest rage is counseling. When counseling a couple, I cover all topics especially "Communication". Here is my favorite chapter from my book " Weddings 101" .
Future Bride, please read. This will help you understand your future Husband.
" 10 Words Men Use:
1. A! This means yes.
2. Baby! This means I got caught. Please see # 10.
3. Nothing, I forgot what you said. I’m waiting for the “Starbucks” to kick in.
4. It’s this way! I am not stopping to ask for directions. The GPS is wrong!
5. It was here, it must have moved! The GPS and YOU were right, but I am to
proud to tell you this. Please refer to # 10.
6. I want to live: That means I will agree with you just to avoid an argument.
7. Honey, I am tired of being right I just want to be happy: I am just agreeing
with you for now, because your girlfriends are with to you. I’ll let you have it
your way. Later when we are alone, I’ll remind you, I was right!
8. In a minute: I will do what you ask when the commercial comes on.
9. Piece of cake: I am calculating exactly how many commercials it will take to
do what you asked. I’ll start the job when the next commercials come on.
10. What? This means don’t ask me for details! I have none. Please refer to #6
Hope this helps.

Pastor Tom!!
Thought I'd let you know that I got more compliments about you than I did about my daughter, the bride.

"Thank you for everything!"
Thank you so much for agreeing to officiate our wedding. We appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with us, email us, and even call us when we needed to discuss wedding details with you. We also appreciate you driving all this way for our wedding rehearsal and ceremony. We were blessed to have found such warm, wonderful, fun-loving person to officiate our wedding. Thanks for everything.

"Pastor or officiant, what's the difference?"
I've been asked this question each and every wedding I have officiated. What I tell my couples is this:
Pastor : Is the spiritual head of a church and can offer spriitual counsel and be familiar with customs of wedding ceremonies such as Catholic, Multi-Cultural and all christian faiths.
If you want to please your parents this is the best...Get a non-denominational pastor!
Officiant: Can be a lay person with little or no experience in leading a church but can usually perform all wedding types including same sex and civil.
