Instead of giving us a baby gift when out daughter was born, our friends gave us a flock of chicks from http://www.heifer.org/. At the time I thought it was a cute gift and put the card in with the rest.

Then a couple of months ago I found the card and logged on to the website. When I started reading all the information I realized what an amazing gift it really was.

I also found out that you can set up a gift registry! If you are looking for a more meaningful and green wedding/shower/baby registry, this is a great place to go! You could also contribute in lieu of favors (then let people know on plantable seed cards at their seats!
