"Questions to Ask Your Wedding Photographer"
1. Do you have backup equipment to insure that you will get all the pictures of the day even if your camera/equipment breaks down?
At Almari Photography we have multiple backups for every piece of equipment that we use. Two Professional Digital cameras AND a professional film camera backup. Multiple flashes, lenses, flash brackets, and memory cards. We have never had any equipment failure, but we are prepared for any problems and can guarantee that we will be able to capture your day BEAUTIFULLY even if some of our equipment fails!
2. When do you require full payment for your services and the products we have selected?
Almari Photography requires a 50% retainer when you sign the contract and reserve your date. The balance is not due until we deliver the album/CD-ROM to you. This allows you to use money that you received as wedding gifts to help pay for your wedding photography. It also provides us with a strong incentive to finish all the work on your photographic products. We don't get paid until we deliver the product to YOU!
3. Is sales tax added to your quoted price?
Almari Photography includes the sales tax in the price that we quoted you when you signed the contract.
4. How much do you charge if we ask you to stay an hour longer to get some more pictures?
Almari Photography does not charge anymore if we are asked to stay longer than originally specified. We base our pricing on how much of your wedding you want photographed.(ceremony, reception, dance) rather than any per hour charge. Your pictures are more important to us than trying to nickel-and-dime you to death with additional charges.
5. Do you charge for travel/mileage?
Almari Photography does not charge for travel and/or mileage. Your wedding will cost the same if it is Minneapolis or in Duluth! Once again - this is not the usual case.
6. How much does an album/coffee table book cost?
The cost of the albums and coffee table books produced by Almari Photography is built-in to your custom quote. Additional albums for parents start at only $200.
7. How long will it take to get my album/book/CD-ROM?
Almari Photography delivers all of the photographic products that you have selected within SIX to EIGHT WEEKS of your wedding day!
8. How many photographers will you use for our wedding?
Almari Photography always uses TWO Professional Photographers for EVERY wedding. Two photographers can capture many more of those unique, candid moments than is possible with just one.
9. Can you take traditional posed pictures as well as photo-journalistic style pictures?
Almari Photography will shoot the wedding in YOUR style with YOUR preferences. If you want traditional posed shots - we will shoot it. If you prefer to just have photo-journalistic, candid photography - we can do that as well. This is YOUR day and we will preserve those memories in the way that you want.
10. What brand of cameras do you use?
Almari Photography uses some of the latest professional digital cameras from Nikon. Canon also makes some excellent digital cameras. We would recommend that you avoid photographers that use other minor brands that were designed for casual, consumer usage.
11. Can you deliver images in black and white, sepia, and/or in collages with special effects and custom borders?
Almari Photography can process your images according to YOUR preferences. If you prefer black and white images - you will get them! If you like special effects and borders on your images - we will do that as well! We will use our artistic vision to produce BEAUTIFUL images in any form that you prefer!
12. Do you have examples of other weddings that you have shot so we can see the quality level of your work?
Almari Photography has an extensive portfolio of wedding work as well as other photographic work that demonstrates our high standard of photographic quality!
13. Is your business incorporated and registered by the State as a Sole Proprietorship, a Limited Liability Corporation, an S-Corporation, or a Formal Partnership?
Almari Photography is a Limited Liability Company registered with the State. We pay sales taxes and are a "REAL" company.
