"experience and philosophy of photography"

A question I've been asked many times. 24 years have given me experience, but the how's of photographing a wedding can be tricky. You have to be " in control " without sounding as if you're " in control ". Your couple has to be comfortable enough with you so that your photographs truly show the emotions of the day.

One of the tricks I learned was to hire another photographer to come with me. Doug shoots b/w as well as color and as we tell our couples " he hides ". A fantastic way of capturing ultra candid shots.

One of the other benefits to having two photographers was that we also have Doug at the grooms location for his family/groomsmen shots.

Practice Runs: I just love this..take my couple out for an afternoon and " practice ". We go to the beach, the woods, a/c, museums anywhere they'd like. It's a nice way to really get to know each other before the " big " day.

I believe that if you like and trust your photographers you will be extremely happy with the results.
