It was a typical day for monsoon-season. Windy, dusty and grey but the bride was a ray of sunshine in her stunning dress! It was a very hot day, but the intimate wedding of Renae and Diego was lovely and heartfelt. They opted for one of my abbreviated coverage options since their event was a wedding ceremony and brunch. Don't Skimp on the Photographer!

If you are looking for ways to trim wedding costs, DON'T skimp on the photographer! This is a once-in-a-lifetime day (we hope) whose memories should last forever. The last thing you want are photos that make you cringe because the photographer that saved you a few bucks did a poor job. Instead, save some money on your flowers. Get the flowers of your dreams for your bouquet, but go with simpler arrangements and less expensive types of flowers for the centerpieces and ceremony.

I maintain a list of preferred vendors for wedding service providers throughout Arizona and thought I would start sharing them with my fans on Facebook and other brides everywhere. I forget to blog here since I blog on another site, but since the Bridal Fashion Debut is coming up this Sunday, June 8th I wanted to make sure I posted something. I have been so fortunate to photograph the coolest couples this past year! Weddings are all about romance, emotion and the love story of the couple. Here are some unforgettable moments from the past year:

-The extra long kiss at the end of Ivy and Martin's ceremony

"Bridal Fashion Debut"

I exhibited at the Bridal Fashion Debut in Phoenix. A great experience and I got to connect with lots of brides, too! My best friend Susan assisted me not only with preparations and hauling gear into the show....she worked the show with me. Thank you, Susan!!!

The expo was packed with photographers and I had the pleasure to meet some and make some new connections, which is always great. I got great feedback from brides about the uncluttered appearance of my space, but it felt a little naked to me......until I had 3 brides and their mothers and friends in the booth at one time :D I also had the opportunity to photograph some interesting bridal bouquets for KaBloom. Thanks, Hinrich! It was a VERY long day, but completely worth it and to all the brides who stopped by and entered the drawing for a FREE engagement portrait session, Thank you!

One of my favorite things is a destination wedding! I had to great pleasure to photograph one in Playa del Carmen, Mexico last week.
