"When Price Matters with deejays"
Ever stop to wonder why one deejay is $400 and his ads make the same claims as the guy who is $1000 or the other guys who charge $2000?.
It's simple, that guy isn't held accountable for what he claims in his ad. You've never hired a deejay so how would you know? All you know is what you see and what he says.
I would suggest that with deejays just like anything else you buy or hire you get what you pay for. Don't expect a deejay who claims it's all about the music to offer awesome ideas about creative introductions. He doesn't have any...
Maybe the claim is to have the largest library of music on a computerized system, what about the personality of the deejay? I'm imagining a computer nerd hiding behind a desktop computer moniter....sounds like he's going to bring excitement to the event..think he'll have everyone's attention when he introduces the first dance?
The point I'm making here is if you're thinking of hiring someone priced below the market standard ($900 - $1500) you need to ask yourself a couple of questions. First, do I want the party to be fun and memorable? Second, can I afford to take the chance on someone who really isn't a professional?
If you answered yes to either of those....you may have just wasted a lot of money on a venue, catering, and photography. on a guy with a lot of music but no knowledge of being a good master of ceremonies and that is when the price will matter.
