"Ben Chen, The Wedding Photojournalist"
Ben Chen is a freelance photojournalist located in Southern California. He photographs weddings, portraits, corporate and sporting events. Ben has been involved in photography for the past 30 years.
In addition to weddings, portrait and corporate work, Ben accepts photo assignments from a deadline wire service that provides images for magazines and newspapers in the US and abroad. Ben covers Dodgers, Angels, Lakers, Clippers, NASCAR, Galaxy, USC Football and UCLA Football on a regular basis. His extensive work can be viewed at his photojournalism website at http://sportspixel.com. Ben’s photos were published in ESPN Magazine, Sporting News, Popular Photography Magazine, PC Photo Magazine, Range Finder Magazine, Professional Photographer of America Magazine, USA Today, L. A. Times, San Gabriel Tribute and Pasadena Star News.
Ben is very passionate about his photography and strives to create stunning images with the collaboration of the couple. With Ben’s extensive experiences in photojournalism, he has naturally adapted a strong unobtrusive yet extremely effective style of telling a story of the wedding.
Ben prefers to stay in the background documenting the event with long lenses or setup several remote cameras where unique and extraordinary images can be captured. Like a true photojournalist, he positions himself in the “right place” to capture the “must-have shots”. These rare candid moments he expertly captures exhibit the genuine natural emotions and true joy of the occasion will be treasured for years to come.
Although Ben prefers photojournalistic approach, Ben is an expert in taking group formal photos. When requested by brides and grooms, parents and grandparents, Ben is able to capture these posed images with flair.
When you book Ben for a wedding, you are not hiring a photographer with photojournalistic style, rather, you are hiring a true photojournalist; you no longer need to worry about wedding photography.
