Wedding Photos - Before or After the Ceremony?
by Donna Dailey
Pictures taken in a rush before the ceremony will tend to show exactly that. I have found through experience that pictures such as group shots are so much better after the ceremony. Everyone is so much more relaxed and are so glad to have the ceremony behind them. It pays to take the extra time after the ceremony. In the end, the result is well worth it. Appoint someone to go ahead and start the reception for the quests while you are taking pictures.
Also remember that if family members are allowed to take photos while your photographer is doing his or her job, this can cause serious problems with pictures turning out over-exposed because of too many flashes. Let your photographer do what you paid him to do. Ask family members to wait to take their pictures after your session with photographer is done.
