First off, choose fresh flowers and fabric ribbon for added decor. Ribbon can accent your cake and has the added advantage of being the exact color of your wedding or bridesmaids dresses.
Fresh flowers are always amazing and can make a simply decorated cake pop with vibrant color. Your florist will sometimes add on enough flowers for a wedding cake for a minimal fee. Have them delivered to the wedding site and labeled for your cake decorator to arrange.
The next best way to save on money is buying a small wedding cake for the display table and have a sheet cake for service from behind the scenes. Your guests will get the great flavor at half the cost and be none the wiser.
